Position Description
SRC is currently seeking a systems engineer who will be responsible for providing on-site support to one of our government customers located in Chantilly, Va.
Responsibilities include
* Manage technical pursuits within existing government acquisition projects * Participate in internal research and development projects, business development and proposal activities. * Perform system definition and acquisition planning for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and communications system development programs directly supporting the DoD and intelligence community * Analyze requirements obtained or derived from customers and other vendor’s specifications; review system specifications and other design-related documentation; participate in hardware and software design reviews and technical meetings * Participate in developing and performing demonstrations of new technology to include development, maintenance and scheduling of the demonstrations, defining technology roadmaps and defining technical elements of the development strategy * Monitor the development, testing and modeling work providing a review of the system performance needs based on Joint C4ISR operational experience, including C2, ISR management, Military Communication Systems Engineering, security engineering and national systems development * Participate in exploring the application of commercial technology to meet customer requirements; activities include architecture and requirements definition, interfacing with subcontractors and other engineering disciplines * Support marketing activities including briefing potential customers, setting up and performing demonstrations, and developing proposals along with identifying, scheduling and cost estimating for tasking
Position Requirements
* A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or computer science is required; a master's degree is desirable * A minimum of eight years experie developing C4ISR systems * Experience designing systems for the intelligence community and DoD * Experience with commercial software applications and tools for architecture and requirements documentation is a plus
Security Clearance Requirements
An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and current CI polygraph are required.
