Non-Profit Organization Seeks Experienced Controller

Prestigious Washington, DC-based non-profit organization seeking dynamic Controller to lead financial team.  Solid, stable organization, whose mission focuses on education, healthcare, and economic security, has opportunity for accounting executive with a combination of non-profit and for-profit experience.

This position provides opportunity for hands-on leadership in all aspects of accounting operations, including payroll and cash management; reporting and analysis of the organization’s budget, grants, and contributions; ensuring the organization is compliant with all regulatory changes (GAAP, tax, other) and state registrations; oversight of the annual independent audit of the financial statements, tax and other filings;  responsibility for the continual improvement and implementation of internal controls; and opportunity to design and implement solutions for process improvement alongside executive management.

The ideal candidate will have:

• CPA+
• 5+ years managerial experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (experience with Pivot Tables preferred)
• Strong financial systems skills (Solomon experience is a plus)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Salary $100-115k
