Agilex technologies is looking for a Testing and Configuration Management Engineer to join our consulting team. Qualified candidates will be working with our customers to design and document best practices and solutions for application implementation architectures. This position requires an extremely dynamic and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in collaborative environments for the production of polished and directly applicable design documents.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for technical design documentation
* Collaborate on technical solutions with application architects, product managers and architecture teams
* Follow established enterprise development and design standards, guidelines and processes
* Create high-quality technical documentation
* Interact with IT management and other teams at a highly professional and technical level
* Provide high-quality consultation to business partners and demonstrate keen aptitude in acquiring business domain expertise
* Ensure deadlines are met, yet be forthright on progress and flexible
* Ensure that all best practices and enterprise standards are followed

Skill Requirements

* Designs, writes and implements testing scripts, test tools, SQL queries, and test drivers for a primarily Mainframe software system. Occassionaly work may be required in UNIX and/or Web- based pricing and underwriting software system
* Creates, reviews, validates and maintains a comprehensive regression test suite
* Ensures that test case standards are adhered to for all test cases included in regression suite
* Executes regression suite, reporting results and issues in a timely and accurate manner
* Maintains awareness of new software testing tools and trends within the software testing industry
* Reports and tracks problems by providing reproducible test cases, and working with other product team members to close problem reports
* Provide the test lead with accurate estimated LOE for updating the regression suite and executing test cases.
* Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing development/ business partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve
* 5-7 years of hands on software testing experience
* Should be familiar with current software testing methodologies to include risk based, boundary, black box and white box testing
* Must have a solid understanding of the SDLC, configuration management, and release cycles
* 3 years of demonstrated experience with Mercury Interactive application testing suite of products (TestDirector, Loadrunner, Winrunner, QuickTest, etc.)
* Must be proficient in UNIX, have the knowledge of writing shell scripts
* Demonstrates knowledge of some or all of the following: Java (J2EE), C, C++, XML, shell programming, Web Logic and with RDBMS such as Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL and MySQL, Test Director, and Clear Quest
* Must be well versed in advanced TSL, function libraries, data driven test, and validation techniques
* Mercury Certification

Professional Requirements

* Professional consulting experience and background required
* Proven strong innovative and analytical ability with extensive implementation experience
* Must be a team player and have excellent written and oral communication skills
* Must be fully competent to work under general direction on complex projects usually on specific assigned projects, issues and problems. Several projects will usually be active at the same time, so the ability to multitask is essential to success for this position
* Must have a B.S. in Computer Science or related area of study and be eligible to work in the United States
* United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Public Trust
