Opening this fiscal year, the new McKesson Experience Center (MXC) at our Las Colinas headquarters will showcase McKesson's unmatched expertise across distribution, pharmacy, oncology and biopharma services and engage employees, customers, and C-suite guests with interactive storytelling experiences to deepen their understanding of McKesson's impact in healthcare.

As a member of McKesson's award-winning Corporate Marketing and Employee Communications team, the Sr. Content Manager, Brand and Experience Center, will be a brand content strategist and creator. Reporting to the Sr. Brand Director, this person will serve as our company's Experience Center's lead storyteller/presenter and operations manager with a direct report. This role will be required to be in the office approximately 3 days a week to host in-person engagements.

The right candidate will be a confident presenter, curious researcher/collaborator and skilled creative leader with experience applying brand guidelines and developing branded content that connects with audiences. This person will be comfortable and skilled at translating business topics, which can sometimes be complex, into memorable, branded content for audiences and drives engagement. This person should also have experience editing and providing creative direction so that the final product is a polished, elevated representation of the brand.

The candidate will need strong planning and people skills to successfully oversee multiple projects with a variety of stakeholders from the start to completion. Proven experience working effectively in a complex corporate environment will serve this person well. Strong project management skills are essential; experience managing agency partners a bonus.

This role will manage, maintain, and update a range of MXC storytelling content which includes interactive digital, physical exhibits, videos, virtual reality, articles, and audio stories. The Sr. Content Manager will collaborate with the Brand Design Director on digital and printed content execution, as well as guide and coach their direct report and Experience Center contributors. This role may also contribute to branded content beyond the Experience Center as part of our internal/external content strategy.

The Sr. Content Manager's team will help establish the MXC's content and tour operational foundations, in partnership with the McKesson Events Team. Projects could include creating training curriculum, establishing content review cadences, and overseeing content creation schedules. The team will also be responsible for leading onsite MXC tours, developing and maintaining all MXC tour scripts, delivering all tour training and updating select McKesson brand decks. The team will also manage internal MXC promotions and Sharepoint page for employees.

Portfolio and/or writing samples, such as branded campaigns/launches, scripts, articles, advertorials and long-form digital experiences, will be required for consideration. Final round candidates will be asked to demonstrate their presentation skills with a 10-minute presentation on a healthcare topic of their choice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster strong relationships and navigate McKesson as a team player.

  • Develop knowledge in all aspects of McKesson's business and corporate brand.

  • Create impactful content for the MXC that promotes the McKesson brand.

  • Oversee internal reviews and approvals for scripts and content.

  • Establish a scalable process for high-level content development.

  • Support the Sr. Brand Director on brand projects to convey key brand messages.

  • Lead MXC tours and presentations as the primary facilitator.

  • Manage tour content, training, and content operations for the MXC.

  • Support the Brand Design Director and Video Director in photoshoots, video, and audio sessions.

  • Lead project management for MXC content, including internal meetings and agency relationships.

  • Stay up-to-date with healthcare industry and storytelling trends for content creation.

  • Manage, coach, and develop team members.

Typical Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, brand strategy or related field in an agency or corporate environment. Working as an associate/creative director in past roles is a plus.

  • Typically requires 10+ years of professional experience, including 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

  • 5-8 years of public speaking/presenting

Critical Skills

  • Presentation, brand, marketing and storytelling content creation experience as a leader and player/coach

  • Brand marketing or communications experience; Healthcare industry bonus

  • Communication skills, with the ability to navigate, engage, and influence

  • Understanding of brand identity and experience incorporating it into visual, written, multimedia and spoken content

  • Proven ability to think strategically and implement ideas, going from ideation and development to execution and promotion to measurement and evaluation

  • Proven ability to create and manage operational processes for collaborative workflows

  • Passionate about people and culture; an engaging relationship builder

  • Growth and learning mindset, with strong aptitude for gaining digital/AI experience

  • Proven ability to create a positive team culture, with high morale and strong performance

  • Technical aptitude across A\V, automation integration (Meta Virtual Reality, Crestron, etc), software and devices including Windows and Mac operating systems

  • Experience creating content with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and AfterEffects

Preferred Skills

  • Prior healthcare experience is a plus

  • Prior executive briefing center experience is a plus

  • Prior spokesperson experience is a plus

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

  • Education/Training - 4 year degree/BA/BS/Associate degree in Administration, Business, Communications or related field or equivalent experience

  • Business Experience - 3-5 years' experience in creative direction, public relations, communications, and/or marketing

  • Specialized Knowledge/Skills -

    • Ability to gain extensive knowledge of company products and services

    • Strong presentation skills

    • Process creation and documentation

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$102,000 - $170,000
