Construction Manager

The Opportunity:

As a construction manager, you will manage the project design and construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight. You'll manage and evaluate construction contractor performance. You will analyze, formulate, and recommend facility standards and design criteria. You will interpret and ensure conformance with design deliverables and statements of work. You'll integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel. You will prepare or review facilities estimates and site proposals for client review as to cost and feasibility.You will advise clients in developing plans and programs responsive to present and anticipated portfolio, facility, or individual space requirements. You'll evaluate, validate, and manage project change requests. You'll provide official weekly project status reports. Finally, you will prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.

On our team, you'll manage challenging projects for sensitive missions from beginning to end while collaborating with senior leadership. Using impeccable communication and computer-related facilities management software and your problem-solving skills, you'll oversee a team to develop creative solutions for mission-critical projects in support of the DoD.

In this role, you'll closely impactnational security bymodernizing production infrastructure to allow the Navy to meet critical mission requirements. With mentoring, exposure to challenging projects, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

What You'll Work On:

  • Perform complex activities related to the control and management of cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization.
  • Prepare or review facilities estimates and site proposals for client review as to cost and feasibility.
  • Advise DoD clients in developing plans and programs responsive to present and anticipated portfolio, facility, or individual manufacturing process improvements.
  • Recommend planning, design, and construction standards and/or milestones.
  • Advise clients in oversight of contractors, enforcement of codes and standards, and interpretation of contracts.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in a construction or facilities management environment
  • 5+ years of experience in managing design or construction projects
  • Experience with construction or modernization projects, including mechanical, such as HVAC and plumbing, electrical, such as low and medium voltage power distribution, and building structures and architecture, fire protection systems, and civil and site work
  • Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, codes, and standards
  • Experience with preparing and monitoring project schedules and budgets
  • Experience with providing technical guidance on contract-related issues
  • Experience with recommending construction documents for approval
  • Knowledge of construction quality control
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with new and existing building systems
  • Experience with site surveys
  • Experience with Project Management Software, including Project or Primavera P6
  • Knowledge of design-build and design-bid-build contract approaches
  • Knowledge of CAD systems such as AutoCAD or REVITExcellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
