The Transplant Financial Coordinator ensures the effective financial operation of the Transplant Program at VCUHS, with emphasis on securing professional fees and providing assistance and support to VCUHS patients, physicians and hospital.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of three (3) years of previous patient scheduling/registration work experience in a healthcare setting
Strong customer service skills and patient/customer centered focus in positive manner in all situations
Experience PREFERRED:
Previous work experience with Social Services Agencies and/or transplant services
Education/training REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Education/training PREFERRED:
Coursework in medical terminology
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or closely related field
Independent action(s) required:
Independent decision-making related to financial arrangements required for transplant patients.
