We are seeking an Onsite Senior Desktop Support Technician to work onsite supporting in Fort Lauderdale. This position will provide day-to-day hands-on and remote support with a high degree of customer satisfaction and technical expertise.This is a full-time, direct-hire position with Insight Enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of the IT infrastructure end-user support and engineering team to deploy and maintain Windows desktop operating systems technology solutions
Provide technical support for end-user hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripherals
Respond to requests and problems including installing, monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and software to ensure optimal workstation performance.
Execute new hire and termination processes including imaging, deployment, equipment returns, and replacements.
Maintain an accurate inventory of all unassigned, deployed, retired, and disposed of hardware and peripherals.
Participate in root cause analysis on recurring tickets and identify opportunities for automated remediation.
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of branch office computer rooms, networking closets, and local site servers.
Valid driver's license and a personal vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate.
Willing to work out of standard work hours, this position is overtime eligible as approved.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will need succeed:
Minimum experience of 3 years in a similar support role in a corporate environment.
Experience in Win 10 and Win 11
Intermediate to advanced troubleshooting experience in OneDrive, MS Office, and other MS applications
Intermediate knowledge and experience in Microsoft Azure at a desktop support level
Experience with a ticketing system, preferably ServiceNow
Experience in supporting users remotely via remote-in tools (preferably BomGar) and MS Teams while working on issues with remote users.
Excellent customer service skills and a high sense of urgency
Knowledge of MFA on Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
Knowledge of secure Client PC connectivity - ethernet, TCP/IP and VPN, and virtual servers
Fundamental knowledge of File server and File Sharing systems, and SFTP applications
Familiarity with troubleshooting VPN issues (preferably Win VPN client)
Experience working in a highly regulated and secure environment, preferably HIPPA
