Valet Maintenance Worker - Healthcare - Full-Time - Varying shifts

Job Description
The Valet Maintenance Worker supports the Valet Department by maintaining the parking areas in top condition using a variety of equipment including snow blowers, automatic sweepers, shovels, brooms, mops, and painting tools.
This position exercises care to keep equipment in good working condition and follows security procedures for safekeeping equipment and tools.
The Valet Maintenance Worker also supports the Valet operation at various locations as needed by aiding in limiting liability and promoting quality customer service.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A Experience REQUIRED: N/A Experience PREFERRED: Some experience working in health care, customer service setting, or maintenance. Education/training REQUIRED: (Note: work experience may be considered in lieu of credentials not required by law with HR approval.Work experience must be specific to role) Must possess reading and writing skills and comprehend and communicate in English Education/training PREFERRED: High School Diploma/GED Independent action(s) required: Must be able to work independently within established guidelines. Must be able to multi task and follow directions. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A Additional position requirements: May be required to work some weekends for special events. Conforms to VCU Health System Inclement Weather Policy as an essential employee which requires day and evening rotations. Age Specific groups served: N/A Physical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate): Physical Lifting less than 20 lbs. Takes quality pictures of vehicles arriving to use our parking services with the intent to record any preexisting damages.
Responsible for safekeeping and maintaining proper care of company photographic equipment to ensure seamless delivery of service.
May be needed to greet customers and to otherwise assist with the valet operation in a variety of ways.
